Home again

London was full of signs congratulating the Lionesses as they were having their victory parade today.  I am not a football fan or watcher and if I am ever tempted to watch the home team invariably lose so I think it’s best I don’t.  But I am moved by the rise in power of women’s sport.

Zipped up to London but couldn’t stay long as I had to make it home for Woody, I would have worked at home but for a long planned lunch with writer/novelist/journalist. We met at the Ivy Club but the food was disappointing.  Still we had a good time chatting as he is well connected and tells excellent stories.

When I got home Woody obviously had a bit of cabin fever so we had a late afternoon walk.

Vikram arrived back from Baku, thank goodness. He walked through the door around 1015 but Woody went and sat on the mat in the hall about 10 minutes earlier.  How do they do that?
