Unexpected

Katie had a review at the orthodontist. Her scar has healed well and to our surprise, we left with braces on her top teeth. It threw her as it wasn't the expectation, but we did realise it was least bad timing of the options in terms of the impact on her playing. And the lovely orthodontist has got her appointments lined up for holidays so we can get another in before she goes back, possibly to add a lower brace, and can fit the following appointment to half term. However, she didn't have time for a last supper she would have had of all the things she can't eat and drink now! 

She managed a lesson with B almost straight after, as the orthodontist said the soreness wouldn't start until later on. They were both pleased with how her audition pieces are going and it was good for them to have lesson time together.
