Lala's Journal

A Good Day

I had arranged to work from home today in order to accommodate the vet appointment for Dog’s vaccination. After I had made the arrangements some friends suggested lunch and were willing to travel down, so I booked the afternoon off.

Got to the vets to be told they had no record of the appointment (booked online and I had the confirmation email). As Dog was also suffering with what I thought might be an ear infection I said I could rebook n for next week when on leave, but would want to see the specific vet who would deal with both. Only to be told she is leaving on Friday. I smiled winningly and told her that in that case I would be performing a sit-in as I had a confirmation email. It was all in fun and said vet said she would fit us in. Ironically Dog needs steroid treatment for ears - which cannot be given with vaccination, so he still didn’t get ‘jabbed’!

I got back in time to answer a couple of emails and log off for the afternoon. And a lovely afternoon it was too! B and I used to go to The Woolpack at least once a month and often met friends there, but I have not been there since. Now under new ownership, it didn’t disappoint. Food was lovely and staff accommodating and friendly. We were there for over four hours! I snapped quickly as we left and I’m guessing that J and I will have similar blips today! It takes us a long time to find suitable dates to meet up, but I hope we can do it again soon!
