Away Day
Regular visitors will recognise that this isn’t one of my usual Tuesday golf course views! With Chris off work this week we had a round at Orchardleigh Golf Club near Frome, with our friend, Colin.
It’s a much longer, hillier and difficult course but Chris played well throughout and Colin and I did so on the back 9 after some “challenges” early on.
We all really enjoyed the change of scenery and different challenges, even if we were all worn out by the end.
This is the view from the 13th tee. The fairway goes downhill steeply beyond those 3 mounds. The white blob on the distant hill is The White Horse at Westbury, one of the famous horse carvings on the chalk hills of England.
