Nice Donkey

We were woken by what sounded like a herd of wooly mammoths, I took daisy for her morning constitutional and saw that farmers were moving cows through the village to a nearby field. It has been very hot today with no breeze. Me and Ash had to sit indoors at one point, due to incredible heat. We went for a walk later in the day to see nice donkey, I think he recognizes us now and doesn't go through the ritual of hand smelling etc. His face was covered with flies, there's a horse in the next field that looked like it was being irritated with flies.
The weather is quite unpredictable up here in the mountains, very soon after our walk the clouds came in, they looked very bubbly. We thought there may be a storm coming but it all passed by evening time. It was so quiet in the evening, so sound apart from a couple of lazy crickets. It's strange to be in a place where there is no sound, where its very still and very dark!
