Lots of produce

After an early Pilates class I met two ex work colleagues in Bushy Park. We went for a nice walk then coffee and pastries at the Lion Gate cafe for a good catch up as they are both still working. They were both fed up as they have not been given their timetables for next term yet….crazy…so they can’t do any preparation for next term..they don’t know what classes they are teaching or when. When I did the timetable it came out at least two weeks before the end of term! They are not happy with the present management!

After this I went to the allotment and picked beans, one courgette, one cucumber  and blackberries . The plum tree is very loaded down with the branches dipping under the weight of all the plums. There were also quite a few on the ground so I decided to pick some and bring home to ripen or stew and freeze. The Cosmos flowers are smaller than usual…maybe due to lack of rain?

 I recorded the Lionesses procession down the Mall etc and will watch it soon. A friend who travelled up to watch said it was a bit disappointing as although when on the Mall she saw them pass in the bus there were no speakers to broadcast what was said at the Victoria Memorial.
