Desperately seeking

He's Seen Me

I snuck up on the juvenile starling but I think he saw me. Two of them, probably from the nest in our bathroom air vent,  came to work out how to get on the peanut feeder. They were a bit nervous. Until this year, we hadn't had starlings to the bird feeding station for many years, not a common bird in our village.

In the afternoon we went to do some weeding at the holiday lodge. Thank goodness we had got the grass cut on Saturday as a farmer in the next village had damaged the power line and over 500 homes were without electricity.

The evening was spent of messaging between the Glendowlin Lodges WhatsApp page and then our visitors to give them progress reports:-
Due back on 4.30 pm. No, 7.30pm. No, 9.30pm. "Can we bring you a flask of hot water for cuppas?" Thankfully, the visitors said they could manage!

I hope the children slept well as the genny was just uphill from our lodge and one of the residents had heard it all night.
