A surfeit of runners

I had a day around the house.  Beds stripped, bedding and towels washed and line dried.

Then I picked a bunch of sweet peas - to replace the ones that I picked last week that were dropping their flowers.

And late afternoon I stripped the runner beans of all the fully grown beans.  I expected to find that some of the larger ones were quite stringy, but actually they were mostly fine.  We parboiled, cooled and then froze them.  The runners are still flowering madly, there'll be a few more batches to come.

And the French beans are being similarly generous.
