The Grand

We drove to Hartlepool today as we are attending the funeral of a friend’s Mum and she lived up here. We have a Hartlepool connection ourselves as R’s Mum (whose birthday it would have been today)was from here and R was born here. However she has lived most of her life in the South.
We met up with R’s cousin in the evening while in the bar of the hotel. I watched the Womens’ Euros Final and was very pleased that we won. And on penalties too!
It was also good to meet the friends and family of K, whose Mum has died. Despite the sadness of the reason we are here, it was a lovely evening
