Eye-catching light and clouds caught my eye as we drove around Rocks Road towards Nelson.

This was taken from the car window yesterday as we were one of many vehicles in a queue of traffic waiting for our turn to drive through road works.


It has rained nonstop all day - and again our region is under an orange rain warning.  The ground water level is still too high to cope with all this extra water. Thankfully, it hasn’t seemed so bad at sea level, but plenty of rain, more than 200mm, has fallen in the hills which has yet to make its way down to the rising rivers.
