Northern Skies

Today's the day . . . . . . . . . . to travel

We left our holiday home for the week before 9.00 o'clock this morning and we've spent most of the day on the homeward road northwards. 

It has taken us 12 hours - but probably four of them were spent out of the car, visiting places that we like on the way.  We didn't time the journey very well - in that we got caught up in rush hour traffic on the motorway.  Although, perhaps it's always like that in middle England!  At any rate, it all calmed down the further  north we went.

The last couple of hours, the roads were very quiet and we could enjoy the spectacle of the setting sun, slowly sinking in the sky and lighting up these wispy clouds . . . . . .
