Messing about on the river Charente!

Well it turns out that you can teach an old granny a new trick, as today I went stand-up paddle boarding for the first time ever! There isn’t any photographic evidence, as I didn’t want anybody recording me falling in, so you’ll just have to believe me when I say that I didn’t fall in - much to the family’s surprise! 
My daughter was also on a paddle board, but Papi, the children and Jim were in canoes, and stayed nearby in case I was in trouble, but even though the current was quite strong, I still had the upper body strength to do it. It must be all the weeding I do!
The photo was taken afterwards, but Rosie was hiding in her towel after they’d had a swim in the river.
