Square Glare

I've been trying to capture this brief moment for several days now. The morning light hits the water for just a few minutes, before moving on to other daily duties.

I always thought the bright highlights on the water would give a nice out of focus effect for the background, with ferns or grasses in the foreground. The grasses would have worked better, but I had to choose the ferns today, because of random things like clouds and luck.

My retro vintage digital camera for this mission was the Mavica floppy disk camera as it has the 10x zoom and manual focus, which both help to get that background out of focus.
It also has the distinctive square aperture which gives the highlights the same square shape again.

I upload one photo everyday using a vintage digital camera. Today's photo is taken with a Sony Mavica FD71 from 1998 that records 0.3 megapixel images onto old floppy disks.
