Number Forty One

Mary and I went shopping this morning and Mary treated me to tea and a bacon roll.  I liked the way the house number had been integrated into this gate.  It looks as if it must have been a long time since the lock was last used.

Afterwards I spent some time tidying the garden.  The heating engineers are still here.  They are really pleasant but it will be good to have our house to ourselves (probably by the end of Wednesday)
