Gwaunceste Hill

Today's ten mile walk turned into a monster 15 miles. The plan was to walk from the Llynheilyn pool over Bryn-y-maen and Gwaunceste Hill, drop down into Glascwm and out over Little Hill. Just two miles from the end we were confronted by a herd of menacing cattle. With no alternative route, and out of water, we had to retreat. In the end we made a five mile detour, much of it uphill. Before all the drama we saw the row of standing stones and the Giant's Grave tumulus. My blip today is from Gwaunceste Hill looking south towards the Brecon Beacons on the horizon.
