Imperial Purple
Monday and today was mostly spent dealing with the dreaded DWP (for non-Brits, that's the Department of Work and Pensions) and so was preceded by some anxiety, but in the end it all went smoothly.
So far.
Today's blip is a nice clematis. I remember my mum planting two clematis in planters against the back wall of my childhood home, and how in just a few years they'd covered most of the rear of the house.
It wasn't this magnificent purple though, just the more common pink variety. But it did look really good- until its weight as it grew along a telephone wire brought that wire down, and we were made to trim it back considerately.
In the extras today, two roses: a white one, and an orange one. The former seems to have a backwards thorn. And a lone poppy in a meadow.
