Nature reserve trio

Guess who forgot to take a container with her on her wander this  morning! so no way of bringing home some blackberries that I planned to pick - just had to eat them as I wandered!  Still very quiet at the nature reserve bird wise, although it was nice to see this little trio chilling out in the middle of the lake - cattle egret, heron and avocet.  Still squillions of gatekeeper butterflies about though!  

Had hoped to get a photo of the plane bringing home the Lionessess fresh from their victory last night as they flew into Southend airport this afternoon, but the plane took a different route to the airport and didn't fly over our house! Watched it all live on Youtube instead!

Weather has been sunny and warm too - I got a new duvet set from M&S which arrived today so it's been a perfect drying day to get that washed and dried on the washing line!
