Bands and Bumbershoots

Eric’s band played in one of the city parks for Sunday Parkways; later, we found a spot in Peninsula Park to sit in our beach chairs to enjoy Carmen, performed by Opera in the Park Portland. The band, in this case, was an orchestra. 
I think this was the last day of reasonable temperatures for a week or two. It sure has been nice.
Between the two events we harvested way more figs than our tree has ever produced; it’s going to be freezer jam in this house. So many ripened at once; last year we had hardly a one.
