Mushrooms

I stumbled across these little clumps of mushrooms just growing in the middle of the path in a wood. I was lucky that the path is not as well used as some and that they had avoided being trampled by paws or boots.

In the end I focus stacked 8 images - pretty much one shot focused on each cap! Then blended in Photoshop and tweaked in Lightroom.

A five mile walk today - I pushed myself a little (!) after watching the athletes yesterday. This took me to just over 800 miles outdoor walking this year - two thirds of the way to my target! I also note that my Fitbit has recorded just over 2.5 million steps this year (that records all steps, not just my outdoor walking challenge!).
