Mollan- a dream garden

Today we visited the three-acre landscaped designed garden, The Mollan , outside Thornhill, open under Scotland’s Open Graden Scheme .

It’s been seven years in the making and is a plant persons dream garden containing everything from extensive herbaceous borders, lawns, fountains, ponds, vegetable and fruit gardens.
And not a weed in sight.

 How many gardeners do they employ, a question I always ask
 “Just one,” says the owner “ one day a week”. Meanwhile he works for an hour every morning before work and again in the evening.

Well, the love and dedication show. It’s a testament to patience, vision, and a willingness to plan years ahead.
