Individual Practice

Now we are working on the third part of this form of Tai Chi. This isn't the most difficult part but because we tend to train it on the last full day of this course, or the last 2 hours of the weekend course, us students are feeling a bit jaded by the time we get here. This picture is taken later in the day when we've moved onto individual practice. Ulf helps us if we ask, or if he sees we need it.
Here Ulf is showing Birgitta how to move from the poetically named "Bend bow, shoot tiger" position into the more prosaically named "Parry and punch". Ulf seems to have developed a halo here!
Jan is training behind them both, moving from "Seven stars" to "Ride tiger". And me, I'm sitting down having a rest and drinking some cold water, before going into action again.
Another very hot day, but in the afternoon it turned thundery. We had rain, but only a little.
In the evening we all ate dinner in the Indian restaurant in town, which was as delicious as usual. We moved the camper from the North Mountain where the course is held, down to the harbour, 5 minutes from the restaurant. This meant we can both drink a beer, then sleep nearby, and drive back up the hill tomorrow after breakfast in the van. One of the advantages of a camper van!
