More sacristy clean up

As a change from the slow sorting out of our linen and the vestments drawers, I turned my attention to the wine situation! Or more precisely, the cleanliness of the two wine bottles. This one has been scrubbed out and is drying out for going into use as the main bottle we use when decanting from the box. I've persuaded the main decanting person that we're currently better only doing about 1/4 of a bottle at most just now. 

Me, if I'm on set up duties, I can manage straight from the box if the bottle is empty, but others can't/don't. Plus, any left over unconsecrated goes into back into the bottle which is probably how it's got so disgustingly sticky. Which it is no longer.

Sundays off the organ bench are beckoning... I am more than usually ready for this break this time.
