Everything soup

Dad had a really uncomfortable day today, it seemed. I call him every evening to check on him.
Naturally he's bound to be very sore the day after his double kidney "faff", but still...did I mention that they had to do stint both kidneys in the end? Resulted in a much longer stay in hospital, and a very tender lumber region.

So I made soup.

I would have preferred to have been making it for dad, but the Solent is in the way.

I literally put everything into this pot. Cabbage, tomatoes, onion, celery, mushrooms, carrots, and probably something else too.
Very much counting down the days until I can visit "other home" again.

Excellent news of the bank holiday horizon though! I hope everyone has some cosy plans for it!
