Speedy germination

Walked down to pilates and then back via Aldi to get rid of soft plastics and get more bargain hay fever tablets.  
Walked to the local shops to recycle some glass.
Spent the rest of the afternoon in the garden reading my next book group book. I'm quite enjoying it and it is a fast, easy read.  
Went back out into the garden at around 9.30 and was treated to a great display from a couple of bats whizzing around. The new bat detector picked up lots of calls and seems to be working OK.  Lovely to stand and watch these little creatures swooping and catching insects.  
The Virginia and night scented stocks have germinated and grown already. I can understand why my mum used to get us to grow them when we were kids. Very quick growth for impatient children.
