Wet it

Today I came again to the forest restoration workshop, having confirmed that my files have successfully made it through our systems migration. After a confusing afternoon session on monitoring and data, my colleague Laura from the UK office and I confirmed to each other that we were looking forward to Happy Hour.

I piped up that some hotels in Dar es Salaam are dry if they have devout Muslim owners, so we needed to be prepared for this reality. ‘If it’s dry I’m going to wet it’, she said. A fair approach.

It was a fun evening of food, drink and conversation, accompanied by some surprisingly cool and strong Indian Ocean breezes.
