I needed to water this afternoon. Although we no longer have the scorching summer heat, and we do seem to have had rain showers, the pots were in need of a good soaking. Standing there with a hose gives me the opportunity to see the plants in detail, and to see what needs pruning and where the weeds are growing. There are plenty of jobs to be done, and I do wish I was fitter!
