That time we went to Hull on a Monday.

Easter Holidays; van hire (it's cheaper than a car) - aim: Hull City v Coventry City; 2000 kick off. 

A meandering drive down the east coast; we arrived in Hull around 3pm; took the lads for a potter about. Alex had been before; Tom was ill on our previous visit so hadnt ticked off - the KCOM is this week? 

Chips and gravy were consumed; and then just for the proper football experience, a chip roll, too....! All the essential food groups etc.

A decent game; 1-1 which did neither team much good. Cov needed the win to try to get the playoff place secured; Hull needed to win to stave off relegation. 

We spotted Frankie Lampard up the back behind us,serving his touchline ban. 

And then the long drive home - arriving in at 0330. Days out with the lads; never too sure how many more we'll get so I do enjoy these when they come around.
