The Wise One.....
.... advises her Dad on stuff. She is always right in some way.....
Diary: Need to make savings and so I took the bike on train across the city - very quick service but bike space is limited, i.e. IT IS INSUFFICIENT SCOTRAIL! So I hopped off at South Gyle and headed up towards Calder Road and along the canal. Usually I struggle MASSIVELY to get up this steep drag but this time I wooshed up - it was hard but I didn't stop. On the way back, time was tight - I had 20 minutes to do it in and the security at the Institute slowwwwwss me down getting away. Roared down the hill and made it with a minute to spare - effort worth it!
Train came but was wounded - sick suspension - it headed into Waverley on time but they said - got to fix it - might take time. So I got off and rode the eckscaltor up the now cool but very un Auld-Reekie Waverley Steps much to my own pleasure and amusement.
Zoomed down Top of the Walk and across to Hawkhill then on to the old Restarig railway path which is a great whoosh. On to Seafield and then the Prom, quick boat chat with Giles as we passed and then back home to continue the difficult task of deciding on buying a RIB for the sailing club. By midnight it was sorted and I seem to have got a result but still not convinced we've made a firm decision. Have we got the money, I wonder. And nobody really knows. Which is a woeful situation but what happens with clubs.
So while this is going on on the interweb, I am doing the Dad thing - shovelling fish pie down her throat before piano lesson - and Monday's family shoot customers want to see the pictures on their iPhone in beyond Oban - lucky it they do..... and Jess comes back after suffering in the traffic - Mummy followed the sat nav and ended up in the worst possible places. Why don't people research the route and ignore stupid stanavs? We sit together and laugh like drains for half an hour. She falls asleep watching Harry P and the Womble of Doom or whatever and then it's off to bed, knackered but in a good way. Sleep till 5.30 - good stuff. And then it's now......
