Eyecare and Eyewear
The day began and ended with focus on one thing, my (Chris) eyes. As an insulin dependent type 1 diabetic for more than 30 years, I know have to pay special attention to my eyesight.
I have had problems in the past and thankfully things are stable now (as is my diabetes control). Attending regular checks (every 6 months) is part of the routine that will hopefully preserve my sight for the long term. An early morning hospital appointment today gave me an all clear, nothing new to worry about. Good.
I had a late afternoon appointment at the opticians. Good timing as they were able to confirm that my prescription was only very marginally different to how it was 4 years ago. The worst part was then picking out new frames for both glasses and sunglasses, I always hate that job but made some quick decisions rather than agonise over the choice and orders were placed.
I took a looping route home as I wanted to find a field being harvested to blip. I think the rain today had perhaps put the combine harvesters to early bed so instead I settled for this view, the most sun we'd seen all day really peeking out from the clouds.
