It's a family affair...

It was tennis finals day at the club today. Siblings Ben, Holly Dave and Jasmine between them took the trophies in the men's singles (Dave), men's doubles and ladies doubles. There wasn't a ladies singles event due to lack of numbers, but Jasmine would most likely have won that, and the mixed doubles final has been deferred to a later date, with Holly very likely to win that.

The bad news for us old crocks is that next year Dave and Ben will be able to play the veterans over 45 events! It has to be said that they are the nicest people you could meet as well as being ridiculously good at tennis - Dave, Holly and Jas have all been British number one juniors in their time, and Jas in particular could have had a professional career but for illness/injury.
