A market near me

I'm staying in the area of Alfama in Lisbon and learnt there was a market at Campo de Santa Clara today.  It's a 5 minute walk for me so of course I wandered along.

There were about a hundred stalls give or take a few selling everything from men's suits to old match boxes and last century telephones.  

Beyond the ephemera I noted this wall sporting these lovely words in French.  They brought a kinda international flavour to the scene.  

I spent about an hour being caught up in the general melee and then retreated from the 35 degree heat to the air conditioned coolness of a nearby café - of course !
