KKK to lead US Institute of Peace

Darren Beattie has just been appointed the Institute’s acting president. He is famously known for having been fired from Trump’s previous White House after it was revealed he attended a white supremacist conference. But you can’t keep a good man down, so he doubled down and aligned himself even more closely with far-right ideologies, then founded a website full of conspiracies and dedicated to spreading misinformation…

So that’s the man Dear Leader has chosen to now head the taxpayer-funded agency whose mission it is to prevent and resolve violent conflicts: a man who has openly trafficked in extremist rhetoric is now overseeing US efforts to fight it….
