Camouflage

As I was taking pictures of the mirabelle plums on our very productive tree, I discovered this great green bush cricket larva - perfectly camouflaged between the leaves.

The plums themselves can be seen in the extra. The entire tree is covered in fruit, and I don’t really know what to do with so many mirabelles.

You might wonder why I added a picture of my smartwatch strap. Lately, I’m always wearing this little rainbow around my wrist - ever since the rainbow flag has been banned from the German parliament by its new, conservative president, and some Pride demonstrations in this country have been cancelled because of attacks from right wing extremists. At least the big CSD parade in Berlin took place without much disturbance today.

For lunch (or rather dessert), I took a bag full of plums to my mother’s house. It was a difficult visit, because my mother suddenly didn’t seem to understand us anymore, saying she could not hear us, and we had to shout at her. Her carer E said that it wasn’t as bad yesterday. We might need to visit her GP next week.
