Pride

Liverpool Pride today. Folkie and I didn’t get to go together as I had Covid last year. It was hard being there without her today and there were lots of tears. TazGF and RMs go to is ice cream and we agreed it would be medicinal in the circumstances. Given the day I went for a rainbow cone. TazGF got pictures of the march which saw a great turnout. It was community led and a more accessible route than previous years. Whilst large organisations try to make sense of the current governments nonsensical and contradictory position of trans rights often resulting in exclusionary practices, community organisations created an event which celebrated the queer community and emphasised the importance of trans rights for all of the queer community. Folkie would have been glad to see it.
