Loughrigg Tarn
Deb having slept most of yesterday, she was awake (still suffering) at 5am this morning, so I took the opportunity for an early breakfast, and out for some photography.
Loughrigg Tarn used to be a wonderful, quiet haven - even in the middle of the Summer Holidays, when nearby Grasmere & Rydal water was teeming, Loughrigg was deserted.
Still peaceful and fairly quiet, though not quite as it used to, when I arrived at the Tarn at about 7.45, there was a slightly annoying breeze rippling the whole of the surface, but also four groups of open water swimmers (with their bright orange floats) dotted around the tarn.
However, an hour on from that, the swimmers had retired back to the nearby campsite for breakfast, the wind had eased and I had the tarn all to myself.
Only filtration on this was a 0.6 ND grad and a polarising filter - in an attempt to slightly cut the haze and mshow the ~Langdale Pikes in the background.
