a VERY BIG day

Dogs first thing, of course.

Today was DotT’s Call to the Bar ceremony. 4 of us headed into London to Chancery Lane, for a wig, gown and collar fitting. It was fun. It was hugely exciting and very surreal.

We then went out for a very special lunch before heading back to her new world for photos, for a look around the library in her Inn and a gaze at the beautiful gardens, albeit in the drizzle. We waved bye bye to her for an hour as she headed off with others preparing for the ceremony. WelshMan, Elbows and I went for a drink and then set off to the Temple Church for her Calling. A never-will-forget experience.

After that, we headed to a champagne and canapés reception where we spent a couple of hours talking to her senior KC. A delightful man. She is chomping at the bit to start her pupillage in September.

So we were back late. Excited for her. And very very proud.
