Swoosh

We Swooshed and it was completely brilliant. 6km (more like 4km with the help of the tide) of beautiful river swimming. I had slept really badly and was so nervous I didn't think I would make it. The first 1km in the creek was hard but once we were out in the open river it was glorious. Clear water, sunshine, no waves. We were very lucky. 
Francis and Chris went off ahead and me Fiona took our time, floating, chatting, swimming and enjoying the ride. 
We were all.done by 10.00 am so it was the pub for lunch, an afternoon snooze and then an evening swimming in the pool and barbecuing. Can't wait to do it all again next year.
