Underpass

Over the last few days, young people in Tain have been painting the walls of the underpass which carries a cycle and walkway from the town under the A9. Very fine. I walked up there today to check it out. See also the extra for details.

It's been a good day. Super constructive on the paper I'm writing. I've sorted out the structure of the argument and also fixed on what I need to read next week, before doing more writing.

Nothing else that was urgent, so the emails could be kept at bay.

Good exercise, with a peloton workout plus I walked up to the underpass.

And then very relaxed time with Mr A. Beer outside, then we sat inside whilst he cooked restaurant standard food. I was truly impressed. Sea trout. A purée with cauliflower, fennel and fennel fronds. Roasted sweet potato. Absolutely delicious. Then outside with more red wine. Indulgent, but worth it. The best evening in terms of weather for days. The humidity has slumped and it's really appreciated.

Overall, a very good day.
