A summer scene of the Golden Valley
It seemed timely to take one of my regular views from my office window. The smattering of rain recently has slightly alleviated the parched look of the meadows, but the woodlands seem unaffected by the recent dry conditions.
The range and height of the turbulent clouds indicates the changeable weather we are having. I rather like the extremes.
You can see how thick the clouds are when they obscure the sunshine and put the woodland on the distant Minchinhampton Common into deep shadow, given the brightness of such a summer's day.
