Spot the problem

I have built homes for my watering cans.

Question: Should I buy new water butts or should I buy taps and battle to fix them non-leakily? I know from experience that it involves standing in the dark with a water butt upside down over my head (NB, I do own a head-torch) and a willing accomplice outside.
