A bit late
My bicycle chain jumped off the sprockets a couple of times lately, with an increasing frequency. I had a look and noticed that the chain had become too long.
Unfortunately I was late, too late with my discovery. A test at the bicycle repairman showed, that not only the chain needed replacement but also both sprockets (I have an automatic gear, so no sprocket cassette), the one at the pedal and the one at the wheel side.
And that after not even 8,000 kilometres! To my defence I have to mention that in my time when I rode 4,000 kilometres per year to school and back, 5 years long, I never had my chain replaced. But material lasted longer those days. And my bike had a full cover chain guard.
Anyway, the repair will take at least a week. The bike is a bit older, not all spare parts were handy.
