New Footbridge, Ribble, Preston.
There was an Old Trambridge here which created a popular circular walking route. It became unsafe and the Council pursued a successful lottery bid to replace it. The work has been delayed because of migrating sea trout. It was interesting to see what they were doing today. The temporary road on the right appears to be floating. The river is flowing rapidly through the middle from left to right. The temporary walls built out of sacks of stone seem to be allowing them to construct the support for the bridge. A bit tired tonight 30 miles cycled.
