River of Flowers

Thursday: Stump Story … continued

I woke up far too early this morning but didn’t go back to bed … it was a chilly 16°C which was perfect for doing a few gardening jobs.

Some decorative grasses have spread underneath a Viburnum near the “new wall” roots are chunky and close to the surface which made pulling them out very easy - I’ve left a small clump. The soil from the same part of the garden had fallen onto the path nearby so I scraped it and threw the soil to toward the wall. Also pruned the Viburnum (think this is correct!?) - all the rubbish into green bin.

After lunch our young tree surgeon friend Will turned up to finish sawing the Sycamore tree trunk from a week ago - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3392945294856422673 - MrD started splitting the slices of wood into logs (TODAY’S BLIP) … which will come in handy at the end of the year :-)

I think I might have an early night tonight … sooooooo tired ….
