Lake Monger

When I was growing up we used to live just up the road from Lake Monger and it was my old training ground.  I used to run down and along the lake until I could go no further and then turn and head back home.  It was great to return today with Mauzee and be able to walk around the entire lake - 3.65 km's in all.  Approximately 50% of the walk runs alongside the freeway but it really wasn't a problem.  There is a vast conservation area as well and from what the signs indicated, we could expect to see the occasional Turtle crossing the path!   As you can see from the image, it's very close to the CBD.
