Bromping around
Took a post-rush hour train through to Glasgow today, mainly for a late afternoon site meeting, which went fairly well. My ticket home was also post-rush hour so I had half an evening to kill.
I called Friend-in-Need because I'm a good sort, so after managing to get ridiculously lost riding only a mile through the city to get to Central (station, per my photo) and another half an hour of waiting we met and went for a snacky tea at a local Subway (not to be confused with the Subway which of course is the Glasgow underground train). Friend-in-Need unloaded quite a lot which was hard to listen to.
I got my train times a bit wrong so was at Queen St too early, but soon arrived back at Waverley safe and sound. I then found I was too early for the Peebles bus and too late for the normal bus, but the weather was warm so my inexplicably creaky Brompton stayed unfolded and I just rode all the way again, and rewarded myself with a huge glass of milk once home.
