Working At The Car Wash
I had a mega good sleep last night, and for the first time this week I was up at my proper time of 7.30. More domestic drudgery was accomplished, including two laundry loads. The wash bin is almost empty now...
It's a bright, sunny day today and I put the door grille on. Rather than mess about taking it off and putting it on again I went through the front door and then the back gate with my washing. That gate is so awkward, it would have been easier to mess about with the grille! It seems to be sagging so that the bolt sits lower than the catch. It was so annoying I messaged Brian to ask him to fix it when he got home, which he now has done!
Although we spent a fortune in Morrisons on Monday there was stuff I wanted that they didn't have so I decided to walk to Aldi. Almost half of the items on my list were available there, plus a couple of things that weren't on the list.
I walked the short distance to Tesco for the rest of the list, all of which I managed to get, along with things not on the list. This added up to quite a lot of things... I had two fabric carriers and put a couple of things in my handbag.
When I went to the shops I walked the longest way for steps, but I definitely came home the shortest - not that it felt any shorter... the shopping weighed a tonne!
When Brian worked at Jewsons I'd have gone and put the non fridge items in the car for him to bring home, but in his new job he might have been out on a delivery, and I have not met any of his new colleagues.
This photo was taken on the way to the shops, as I passed one of the car wash places. I love these things. If I had a big garden and budget I would get one for sure! It wouldn't say Car Wash on it though... Cats Welcome maybe!
