Orange spot
Was out litter-picking with the WoL crew this morning - passed this corner of North Leith graveyard and noticed the orange spot on the tree trunk. Hmm - I can remember that a white cross means a tree needs to be felled, whereas a white spot means just tree surgery required. An orange cross means Dutch Elm and hence felling asap - but I can't recall what an orange spot means. The tree looks healthy enough...
In the evening we went for a meal in the Roseleaf with T & C - good to see them after too long a gap, and the food was excellent as usual. Went for a pint in the Carriers afterwards, on their way to the no 34 bus stop. I took a photo of a poster in the back bar that I had intended for a blip but Trev beat me to it!!
