Heather on the hills

The heather is out in Scotland l believe but is just beginning to colour the hills here.  Another feature l see are patch work areas where heather has been burnt off for regeneration as part of the grouse shooting industry.  Grouse shooting season starts on 12th August, known as the 'glorious 12th'.  Glorious for some but not the grouse!
