Gift from a bird

This crepe myrtle is a gift from a bird. It hasn’t seeded from one of ours as it’s not the same colour.

Although it’s in a place we really don’t want a crepe myrtle, we have left it to grow as we will dig it up and take it up to the new house later this year.

We are having a few days of relief from the extreme heat but it’s still miserable out there. Today’s heat index was 101°F

Despite the heat, Kent took advantage of the reprieve to cut the grass. I cleaned the fountains & birdbath and cleaned & filled the hummingbird feeders. The seed feeders needed filling too.

Kent found it tough outside today and just that amount of work had me sapped.

After coming in and having showers, we did work on our computers and had quiet time.
