23:57. Exhausted. Friend staying for a couple of days (in hotel down the road). Arrived 2pm. Collected sourdough from M's (Hungarian) Bakery. The best around. Drove car home. Jumped on a bus and waited for 'S' to arrive - with his 3 year old spaniel.

Had a coffee and Cornish Pastie by the Pier ('S' was starving). Back to ours for a catch up. Saw these Saudi language students with their banner, so of course went to talk to them. They spoke superb English. We talked about Saudi food, and if they liked Bournemouth (they preferred it to London!) 'S' then went back for a short rest.

Mr B made an excellent dinner. Then walked 'S' back to the hotel.
